There are several ways to produce energy from biomass including burning biomass to generate heat or run steam turbines that produce electricity, turning feedstock into solid biofuels. Biomass can consist of sawdust from lumbermills, logging byproducts, construction or organic municipal waste, energy crops (switch grass), crop residue, and even chicken litter, but most biomass comes from agriculture waste is used in briquette manufacturing process.
